Directed by Gary Brame
When Chris finds himself in debt to a drug lord, he and his father hire Killer Joe – a cop who moonlights as a hit man – to kill Chris’s despised mother for insurance money.
When Chris can't pay Joe’s asking price upfront for the job, Joe sets his sight on Dottie (Chris’s younger sister) as his “retainer”, which sets the stage for a bloody aftermath.
This exciting first play by the author of August: Osage County premiered at Chicago’s Steppenwolf before going on to acclaimed productions in London and New York.
